Mercato Metropolitano's Christmas-themed Disco Soup is all about celebrating our Community: everybody is welcome to Mercato E&C's Piazza for a bowl of hot soup prepared by our army of volunteers.

About the event
Originally born in Paris to raise awareness around food waste, the Disco Soup is a social gathering where people are invited to cook and eat together while listening to great music.
Mercato Metropolitano's Christmas-themed Disco Soup is all about celebrating our Community: everybody is welcome to Mercato E&C's Piazza for a bowl of hot soup prepared by our army of volunteers. We encourage all charities and organisations operating in Southwark and beyond to share this event with the people they support - the more the merrier!
What to expect
- FOOD: Warm vegetable soup and Italian-style sourdough bread. Simple, delicious and cooked with love - MUSIC: Groovy DJ-set by our amazing Community partners at Beats&Eats. These emerging musicians surely know how to warm up the room!
MM's Disco Soup is a completely free initiative and is part of our Community Christmas Programme, created to celebrate this magic period of the year with our communities while tackling issues like food insecurity and social isolation.
