ALTERNATIVE
MUSIC
EDUCATION
We provide end-to-end, alternative music education courses. Students are encouraged to develop their interests in the the fields of Music Production, Artist Development, DJ skills and Events Management.
Each course is interlinked, with the final project being the delivery of a live music event featuring musicians, producers and event managers. We provide a supportive and inspiring environment where young people can explore their musical abilities, build confidence, and develop essential skills in the following disciplines.
Vocals & Songwriting:
Develop confidence in expressing your voice.
Music production & Beat-Making
Learn to create tracks using digital tools.
DJ Skills & Beat-Matching
Explore music selection, mixing, scratching, and performance techniques.
Live Performance
Perform at a Beats & Eats event and build your confidence in performing infront of an audience.
OUR IMPACT
Recent pilot sessions with young people referred from the National Autistic Society, Pupil Referral Units and specialist SEND school Write Time Academy, showed extremely high levels of engagement and student enthusiasm with staff and our tutors.
The power of manipulating sound highly resonated in our sessions with the National Autistic Society and had significant impact on children and their parents, with 60% of attendees booking extra sessions for both Music Production and Dj workshops.
Five of our previous young DJ trainees are now DJing at events locally and internationally.
