Beats & Eats started in the aftermath of the 2011 Croydon Riots. We wanted to create a platform for young musicians and a safe space for our diverse, creative community after the 'Bashment Ban' was implemented by Croydon Police.

Our events are always family friendly, free to enter and used as a platform for grassroots musicians and food vendors.  We also use our events as 'live projects' for our event management, DJ and music production workshops which we deliver at our studios and with local partner organisations.

We believe in the importance of encouraging, nurturing and inspiring our creative youth.  Our workshops support them to realise their creative vision, leading to an increase in confidence and the development of self-starting entrepreneurism.
